On the beer front, we are similarly reviewing our offerings to keep up our reputation as a flagship real ale bar in Yorkshire and across the Pennine Ale Trail. Ian McGoverin, one of our longstanding regulars who has a wealth of beer and pub experience has been sharing the benefit of his expertise as we review our beer plan for the coming months. You are also invited to participate in this review. If you have a suggestion fro a beer you would like to see on the bar this year, please fill in a suggestion slip and leave in the Beer Suggestion box on the bar. 2010 Dewsbury and Heavy Woollen CAMRA Real Ale, Food and Music Festival 20-22 May 2010

A CAMRA sub-committee is working hard to pull together preparations for the biggest beer festival in Dewsbury for 35 years, to commemorate the 1st Beer Exhibition at Dewsbury Town Hall in 1975.

The focus is on promoting all things local and regional, as a showcase for the best we have to offer of Yorkshire ales, food, and music.

The call is out now for local Dewsbury and district businesses to take advantage of this one off opportunity to promote your local business and products at this major 3 day event with support from the Dewsbury Town Centre Management.

There are several ways you and your business can get involved to support and promote this event:

Financial Sponsorship of specific aspects of the festival

Purchasing Advertising space in our programmes and promotions

Tendering to Print up T-shirts, Glasses, Programmes, Banners etc

Playing Music at the Festival

Holding a stall at the festival selling your local sourced produce

And the obvious one -- supplying Yorkshire Beers to the festival!!!

To get on board, please email sarahb@imissedthetrain.com as soon as possible for more information.

The new website should be up and running within the week and I will let you know when advance ticket sales are launched.

See you on the ale trail!

A temple of the brewers' art where fine beer is celebrated by serious drinkers. ...In view of its regional and national fame it is probably true to say that it is now a famous bar with its own train service rather than a railway station with a bar.' Alan Burnett
